Tips & Warnings
Address Changes
- Must report within 15 days of moving. You can also do this at the local district office.
- Failing to report = fines or refusal of future extensions.
Passport Expiry
- Your extension cannot exceed your passport’s validity, so renew first if needed.
Overstay Penalties
- Even a 1-day overstay can result in fines or visa complications.
FYI
Keep copies of everything you submit and maintain a folder with:
- Immigration receipts
- Tax payments
- Housing contracts
- Updated employment letters
This makes future extensions (or switching visa types) way smoother.
